Director of Finance
Position Overview:
The Director of Finance serves as a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving the financial strategy, operations, and performance of the portfolio company. This role partners closely with the CEO and private equity stakeholders to enhance value creation, ensure financial discipline, and support growth initiatives. The Director of Finance oversees all aspects of accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance while leading a high-performance finance team.

This role partners closely with the CEO and private equity stakeholders to enhance value creation, ensure financial discipline, and support growth initiatives. The Director of Finance oversees all aspects of accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance while leading a high-performance finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a hands-on leader, directly involved in financial analysis, modeling, and problem-solving while building and mentoring the finance team.
- Own all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, cash flow management, and long-range planning.
- Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track operational and financial performance.
- Manage liquidity, working capital, and enterprise risk management, including oversight of insurance programs and annual renewals.
- Oversee debt management and lender relationships, including credit facilities, covenant compliance, and refinancing activities.
- Drive financial and operational process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with operational leaders to align financial goals with business performance and efficiency metrics.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to the Board of Directors and private equity partners.
- Build, lead, and mentor a strong finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Oversee relationships with banks, auditors, and external advisors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally in oilfield services, PE-backed or high-growth businesses.
- Demonstrated experience managing through industry cycles and commodity price volatility.
- Strong technical accounting and financial modeling skills with deep knowledge of GAAP.
- Proven ability to manage complex budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and scalable financial processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- High degree of integrity, strategic thinking, and a hands-on, results-oriented leadership style.
